20 year plan

I plan to be a scientist working on research and out in the field. I really dislike office jobs and having to sit around all day so it would be ideal to be out learning about the world. The minimum schooling required would be a masters degree. If I wanted to lead my own research team or become a professor I'd pursue a PhD. My plan starts by first going to a college with a good amount of opportunities for under-grad scientific research. Then graduating with a bachelors or masters in whichever science I'm most interested in. I really enjoy neurology/biopsychology so I may decide to go to grad school to become highly certified in that field. Now, if I go the PhD route, that should take about 11 years or more for all of that schooling. I imagine I will be in a lot of debt by this point so if I'm not murdered by a loan shark first, I will probably need a job. If I can get a job doing what I originally planned, conducting research, then I should be alright. If not then I will become a college professor and be a little bored but I'll still have fun. In 20 years I will be 37-38. That's a huge amount of time. I might adopt a kid, just get dogs, or possibly a falcon so I can be that weird lady with a falcon. It will send letters for me and I'd name it Dr. Icarus.
